Originally published in 1967, this rare and sought after book paired the Screen Tests that Andy Warhol and Gerard Malanga were filming at the time with poetry by Malanga. Some of the subjects in this book include Jane Holzer, Allen Ginsberg, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick, Nico, Piero Heliczer, Benedetta Barzini, Marisa Berenson, Jonas Mekas, Marie Manken, Mary Woronov, Paul Morrissey and Billy Name.

This modern edition is updated with a new introduction by Malanga with accompanying archival photographs.

To create this book, we scanned the original, vintage, 4x5 inch film from Malanga’s archive under his supervision. When Malanga put together the original book 1967 the printer trimmed the Screen Tests by mistake and for the first time, this book is being presented with the restored full frames as Malanga originally intended.
